Evolutionary Storytelling: The Power of Your New Story

your story matters in white against black background

Do you know that the story you live and tell impacts your life and others? If you change your story, you can change your life and the lives of others. It is as simple as that. However, from a practical point of view, there are two complexities involved: most of us do not know our authentic new story, and all of us, in one way or another, resist it.

Why? When we live a story and see others doing that, we accept it as ‘just the way it is.’ Some stories are passed on from generations, and we do not dare to question them. The Adam and Eve story is one such example. We acknowledge it because we've been conditioned to believe it.

According to the mythology of Adam and Eve, the latter was created from the rib of the former and was also blamed for indulging in sin. In this patriarchal story, the woman is looked down upon as subordinate and inferior to the man. Why was such a story created?

Why are Stories Created?

Stories are created to convey thoughts, experiences, information, knowledge, culture, and basic life lessons. The story of Hansel and Gretel is not real-life, but it was meant to scare children from wandering off into the woods, metaphorical for leaving what is known and safe and experiencing life and consciously evolving. Some mythologies or traditional stories are intended to convey a deeper meaning or understanding. However, they may or may not be factual or real.

We must remember that stories are contextual, that is, they relate to the period or era in which they were created. As time progresses and our understanding develops, older stories cease to be meaningful and valuable.

Why Unlearn the Story of Adam and Learn the New Story of Eve?

Stories need to evolve with time to stay relevant. To evolve a story, you have to unlearn the old story. Learning a new story gives you the opportunity to switch the narrative from head to heart. You rewrite your script from a place of fear to a place of love and from living in the past or the future to living in the present.

The story of Adam and Eve comes from an era of patriarchal societies. The narrative has changed now. These are the times of gender equality that are neither patriarchal nor matriarchal. Men are not superior and solely worthy of divine grace. Women are the personification of Sophia, the divine wisdom. The new story of Eve is about the potential of feminine divine wisdom that helps men and women alike to connect with the Quantum Field and work for the betterment of humanity.

Unlearning the story that comes from a place of division, hate, and falsehood and learning the truth of the reality of oneness, love, and wisdom will make us complete, whole, and evolve ourselves.

"Storytelling in and of itself releases and expands the Divine light and love that shines through each of us. It’s uniquely personal and necessary for a storyteller’s own growth." ~ From Divine Genius-The Unlearning Curve by Adam C. Hall
