Conscious Masculine: 10 Questions Every Man must Consider to Thrive during Times of Great Change

In this day and age of the #metoo movement men are having to reexamine who they are, what their purpose is and how they can serve the greater good. Our current culture is now shifting from one that has been male centric to a feminine/masculine balance. The patriarchal society has designed, built and governed our way of life since the thirteenth century. The masculine values of hard work, competition, winners and losers has now come to an end. The feminine values of inclusion, discernment and care for all will now take a leading role.

While we do not know what will take its place, both men and women can work together to build a better world. These changes do not represent a threat to men. They represent a great opportunity to build a new society that serves our children and their children. To do this, men must be prepared for radical change.

Transformation of modern societies and cultural institutions, like everything in life, always begins with the individuals. This process, or lack thereof, will ultimately determine whether humankind will survive the coming age of radical change. This change will leave no stone unturned, no human untouched. The best we can do is prepare by adopting a new mindset that is governed by Universal Law and balanced by physical and spiritual law. What does this mean?

The dictates of the Universe require that all things in nature operate in balance.

Without going into depth as to the comprehensive nature of Universal Law and for purposes of this post, all you need to know is that everything seeks balance. Physical and Spiritual Law seek balance according to Universal Law. The task facing both men and women is to rebalance the masculine and feminine energies without destroying the planet or one another. We must also lessen the domination of the physical world to bring it into balance with the spiritual world. In other words, we must awaken to our highest potential and grow up.

Here are my top 10 Questions that men must consider. Women can gain insight from these questions as well.  My intention is to help men and women realign themselves to become builders of a new culture and not the destroyers of it. To do this, men must be the ones to take down the old structures. If men do not get on board, I will be a very painful journey for all.

What is the current state of men?

Not good. Men make up majority of  suicides (78% are white men), overdoses (68% are men), depression (9% of men now and 30% during their lifetime), and PTSD. Young men are not participating in the labor force at levels required to have a healthy culture building society and they comprise much of the above statistics. Men, of all ages, face extraordinary challenges, and together they can transcend them.

Can men transcend patriarchal culture?

Yes. Men can take radical responsibility for their past actions. When men “own it” they can transcend the outdated, aggressive, win or lose ways of thinking and embrace collaboration, cooperation, acceptance and a win win mindset.

Is the #Metoo movement a threat to men?

No. The “Me too” movement is serving a great purpose to help catalyze transformation. If a man has shame, something difficult to share or shed from the past, it’s best to do it now. By transforming past events and letting go of what is weighing on the psyche a new male can emerge.

What is Toxic Masculinity?

Did the Gillette ad serve any purpose?

In and of itself, masculine energy is not good or bad. All responsibility resides with the individual and not some outside force. I prefer the word rogue to toxic masculine. Rouge energy is simply a projection of thought, anger and lack upon another. It can be aggressive and both physically and verbally abusive. Men have been stereotyped as rogue, and for good reason. Rogue masculinity, be it expressed by a man or woman, has no place in our culture. It is a time to forgive, learn and move on.

Why are men seemingly so angry?

According to Jungian Psychology men have a tendency to project their pent up anger on all things feminine. We are experiencing this with the destruction of the earth and long history of assault upon women. When the male psyche is unable to find fulfillment in a part of itself, it unleashes it outward. This energy is highly volatile and murderous. Men need outlets like sports and support groups to gently relieve this tension. Find out how by clicking the link below.

Can men evolve beyond the existing paradigm?

Absolutely. Not only can they, they must and fast. With a simple commitment to transform beyond an outmoded way of being, men can change. To do this, it will require a commit to join other men who are in the process. New male role models are emerging. They represent a balanced masculine and feminine. The new male just so happens to be more powerful, attractive and wise.

How can men grow spiritually and raise the consciousness of the new culture?

Men do not need to seek change the culture or the environment in which they live, they need to seek change in themselves. To do this, men must grow up and embrace their spiritual nature that is in service to the greater good of all things feminine, including the planet. To raise the level of consciousness, men can begin to meditate, write, reflect and spend time listening to what others have to say. What can men do when life “falls apart” during breakups and divorce?

What may seem like an ending is truly a beginning. Within all relationship failure lies the secret to the next level of relationship success. There are two key questions to ask yourself. What did you learn? And why was this life lesson being given to you? If a man can answer these, he can move on to new, more fulfilling relationships. If the lessons are not learned, the past will keep recreating itself.

What women want from a man?

To be heard and understood. To be loved and respected. To do this men must let go of the innate need to provide and protect women. They can still do this but not as a need. Why? Because the need to provide and protect often comes with the need to control and blame women for their own inability to perform. Men and women can radically change their relationships with soulful listening and talking. Here are my insights on how to make that happen.

Why this is a great time for men to thrive?

Break down always offers an opportunity for break through. Men have never been as challenged as they are today. Men have a chance to realign their values, purpose and mission. With this comes new growth, new wisdom and a new man. Health, happiness, peace, love and abundance are all waiting for men who are ready to accept the challenge.

While there are many questions that men and women can explore during this time of great change, these 10 questions offer men an opportunity to become a hero that manifests a new dream and a new earth.
