Desexualizing the Mind
During these difficult and challenging times, I'm reminded how vitally important it is to stay present. In order to do that, it requires focus and discipline. Shedding the undisciplined desires of the "separate self" can feel like an endless pursuit to escape the emotional abyss of a life un-lived/loved. Some run like hell away, while others run straight into the challenges they face.
The process of desexualizing the mind entails the latter. Carl Jung referred to the path to our authentic self as a set of experiences that continuously expose the unconscious emotional pain that we project onto others most often to our own determent.
This projection can be expressed in many ways including relationships, work, and more. It can serve our soul or become a weapon of the separate self. We have reached a point in conscious evolution where we can desexualize the desire of the separate mind that destroys the goodness of who we are as peaceful, loving people. A great spiritual war has begun. It's not about good and evil, it's about how deeply we can love ourselves so we can love each other, differences and all.
Blessings,
